Excuse me, you look familiar

I seldom talk to friends about my filming job, and many are pretty curious about it LOL~ They always nag me for not telling them my scenes are on air and did not inform them to watch me. But my roles aint that dramatic anyway lol, I'm just a small part time actress. Not like I am some big name actress or acting with my Idol huh? LOL!!! Yea, I do get to act with many celebrities on the set and see them before and after their make up, knowing them up close and personal etc. Its a job that I love cos it allows me to be in role that my real life isn't. Filming outdoor scenes are pretty cool cos I get to go to places normally harder to get to, or places i seldom go, or places I normally cant access to. It also allows me to learn new roles and skills when its required for my role, isnt it just awesome? Not gonna go into fine details about filming, just the gist of it~


I started to take pics with celebrities when I film~ Else I think I can post till crazy lol~ All of them are my outfits for the scenes, not my normal clothing, so dun ask me why I wear like that or so pls lol~

 

The thing about being part timer is that they are graded A/B/C/D and pay is according to grades as well. And if you are wondering what grade I am, its Grade A ^_^ Each pay is per run down for the day, how many scenes per day, it really depends. What is rundown? Its a schedule where you'll get to follow what scenes to be filmed and covered that day.

For a drama series to be filmed, a lot of preparation work need to be done, the script, the morale of the story, whether sponsors are involved, filling of the characters role, locations of film set, budgeting, marketing, editing,  etc (too many to list)~ There are many people involved besides the actors & the director. There are also the assistant producer, props man, stunt man (for action scenes), lighting crew, sound crew, camera crew, etc So whenever there is filming for drama series, you'll see a lot of crew basically lol~ Hard not to notice when filming takes place.

 

There are two kind of roles when one is called, either the one rundown ok, or conti roles. What are conti roles? It where ur role usually have a name, and whenever your appearance is required, you will need to appear loh~ Each drama series is usually filmed in 3 months or so for those around 20 episodes. So you can say, whenever you have a heavy conti role, you will be booked for 3 months in a row.

For me, obviously thanks to my love for my fabulous, adventurous hair colour passion and being a hair model for Goldwell KMS, I have paused filming since Jan. They cannot accept too colourful hair :P I know casting have been nagging at me about my hair, MY HAIR! They have to help push whenever directors or editors request for me in new dramas, I really feel so bad >_< Perhaps I should be a good girl, dye my hair back to dark brown...perhaps they can accept med brown :P Am i asking too much?

 

 

 

 

Melon Tea's sis recently spotted me on XINMSN's catch up TV, am amazed she can recognize me. Recalling my colleague who have been tuning to Channel 8 just to catch me on air for a long time, I feel so bad >_< I decided to watch and record it down. I rarely watch my own show, cos I dun keep track >_< Every time when filming, I only focus on memorizing my script, and aim for 1 take OK~ I dun like NGs, it just kills the natural aura and feel to the scene.
