Aesop x Singaplural

Some of you may have already know, Aesop Ngee Ann boutique has reopened, and its even prettier this time.

I like that clean and crisp feel~
 Everything is so neat
That gorgeous sink
Really like the color theme of the new outlet as compared to the previous one.
Its their final batch of inhouse Aesop wine~ Sad to say goodbye!

Attended the in-Depth Design, a series of design talks developed in partnership with Singaplural, the anchor event of Singapore Design Week. It feature Larry Peh, founder of design company &Larry. Larry is also founder and Creative Director of menswear label Faculty, and co-founded The Design Society, a local non-profit design organization.
Its inspiring for Larry to venture into menswear label, it started when he couldn't really find what he wanted thus he created the menswear base on personal preferences and infused design of his own. It will be out about next month, March.
I've learnt a few things from him as well, and its really inspiring to hear from such successful people. Once again, thanks to Aesop for the invitation, and inviting Larry.

Review:
Elizabeth - As someone particular about efficient hydrating product yet hates sticky residue, I am indeed impressed by this product. It is really lightweight and makes my skin so supple and smooth! As it dries, I can feel the tingling sensation, its very cooling too~ After reaching home, and washing my face etc, my skin still feels baby smooth and supple/hydrated max! They told me the effect doesn't stay for just a day but 2-3 days!Wow~

Really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for having me~

Aesop Artwise talk

Looking forward to my very first event with Aesop~ Could'nt attend the previous one due to other commitments @_@ This time round, I brought Asa with me to attend this event.
Arrival at the club street outlet~

Love the bathroom feel of this corner of the store~ Such a big mirror!
Topic today~
Wine and cheese being served~
And they actually have their very own wine! No, its not for sale, exclusive for the guests <3
Guests filling in~ Cute clock at a unique position!
Selfie with the lovely speaker, Miss Claire Kwiatkowski~ She used to work for the British Art Museum~ Mega thanks for sharing so much!
The Country Manager for Aesop Singapore, Miss Sheyla, glad I've got the chance to catch up with you too!
Starting with the painting for tonight~
Done with millions of dots @_@
In depth explanation of meaning and methods used for the painting about the artist~
Comparisons and lifestyle
 History of the ladies
 Some paintings in Paris
 Paintings of Paris
More explanation on the reason why each figure is in the painting that are actually hints of history in Paris!
 Amazing use of colours
Who will think a painting can be so complicated?!
For a moment, it felt like I was'nt in Singapore~

Really enjoyed the talk, it have brought me to another different level to be aware that every painting alone is not just base on the surface overall look. There are so many methods and thoughts poured into each and every paintings~ This artist is really amazing, using true colours alone with science to make such an amazing piece of art that tells so much about Paris back then. Got the chance to have lil chats with Aesop staffs as well, and got the chance to understand the products even better! Shall be using the products and share my reviews in future posts <3

Getting to know Aesop better

When Aesop first opened in Singapore was about 10 years ago? It was in Ngee Ann City and I remembered the name was a lil like soap and they were launching some facial powder scrub back then.

This year March, traveled to Japan with Maro, realize Maro had this full series of Aesop products~ So many bottles of it and I am amazed he brought them all to Japan with him. Yea we shared a big traditional tatami room and can check out one another's shopping sprees and daily products~ I love the scent of it! Free scent in our room~ Like woah, very refreshing with hues of Lavender~ We also had our LUSH products there for the bathroom and visited LUSH in Tokyo! I bet the room services who cleans our room, enjoy cleaning in our awesomely scented room LOL!!! Every night without fail, this boy will dutifully apply his skincare, in particular the lip balm~ I remembered so well cos he applied over his lip line in the cold weather and look so silly LOL~ But yea, winter is cold and drying to our skin, I totally understand that.

Rosehip Seed Lip Cream
Non greasy and vitamin-rich cream to soothe and and hydrate the lips

On the way to meet Maro to Aesop to get myself a tube of the lip cream and to also check out the store~
They also gave me a skin consultant and some products for me to try~ Most of the products contain the same awesome scent that I really like! And, thou its a luxury botanical skincare brand, I am surprised and happy to know their prices are not luxury! Everything on the shelves look similar(to me) in terms of packaging lol~ Good thing to know more about their products from the well knowledge lady staff. I'm amazed they also have things like mouthwash! Cant wait to try the products that was tailored to suit my skin type! Will be trying n sharing my personal feedback on them, stay tuned~

Maro is now working at Aesop! Now I know why he bought so many of their products, not just cos he already heard of it, but also he want to understand the products even better before he official join the company! Honestly, I don't think much ppl does that before they join a company~ Usually one learns after they join a company, not self online research studies and trying products before. Really salute him for it!
