Another awesome movie brought in by Encore Film! This time its Akko-Chan~
INTRODUCTION
The Movie is based on Himitsu no Akko-chan, a classic by Fujio Akatsuka
that shines in the history of Japanese comics. It was broadcast as an
animated TV series three times in the past. 2012 marks the comic's 50th
anniversary, and it has been adapted into a live-action movie for the
first time.
The original comic is the pioneering work in the
"magical girl" genre that is hugely popular in modern Japanese pop
culture. By gazing into a compact and chanting the magic words
"tekumakumayakon," Akko can transform into anything she wants. The
live-action movie adds a modern angle to the story that is like the
embodiment of girls' eternal dream come true, and the undying spirit of
the original work shines through in this marvelous piece of
entertainment.

Reached Bugis+, first thing i saw on my way to Film Garde, I already spotted the poster! Snapped a pic w it first :3
Before I enter the theater, went to grab some food, din wan to exit like hungry ghosts XD Went around Bugis+ looking for something light to nibble, end up with these~
I dont know if its is because being a half Taiwanese, having tried the real snacks, I am disappointed in the taste of their chicken. Ordered cheese flavor, will not try again thou >_<
Went in and watched some trailers, some shows seems not bad thou~ Shall give it a try when they air. Akko-Chan is truly awesome...omg, no, i am not promoting it cos i am invited. I really enjoyed the movie a lot! I was touched to tears during the sad n happy scenes, 4 times! One's dreams, hardwork and passion is tactfully n tastefully brought in, bringing in the viewer's mood at the same time. The basic lessons taught since elementary school about life, and being honest and true to ur passion, fighting and not giving up...
I love the point where Akko Chan gets to transform into many different outfits and she looks absolutely cute in each! The wardrobe n make up unit must have put in a lot of effort for each! I love how the actress, Haruka Ayase, is able to pull off the spirit of carefree child's mind effortlessly. I doubt another actress can do it as good as her! She is really innocent, cute, funny whenever the scenes needs her to be in. - Pic reference taken online -
As for the male lead, Masaki Okada, not to forget absolutely dashing w beautiful eyes, good complexion with pink lips, definitely an eye candy for all female viewers ;) - Pic reference taken online -
Not forgetting the other awesome actors too! - Pic reference taken online -
Comedy romantic movie, great to watch w friends, lovers, children that teaches a
lot of values n moral in life! Really wanted to clap loudly when the
movie ended :D Cant help thinking that after this movie is screened, will there be a lot of girls out there, that goes to bury their broken compact wishing they will meet the Mirror Guardian? Or if the merchandise compact mirror is on sale, it will definitely be a hit seller! I'll love to grab one too! Its so omg cute n pretty! Dun forget to catch the movie before its gone! - Pic reference taken online -
