PARK Jin-ju
From the box office hit, Sunny (2011) to popular TVshows High Kick! Revenge of the Short Legged (2012)and Operation Proposal (2012), PARK Jin-ju is beginningto build her an impressive filmography. Jin-ju is makinga name for herself as a noteworthy new comer in theKorean Movie Industry. In Sunny (2011), she played therole of a strong-headed high school girl “Jin-hee”. Herunhindered acting as a foul-mouthed teenager left quitean impression with the nation. She continued on withyet another cool high school character in High Kick!Revenge of the Short Legged (2012) as a fussy, smartkid who unfortunately always ends up being in the 2nd place. In OperationProposal (2012), she played “CHO Jin-ju” who has a crush on the main characterand delivered a romantic rendition of her acting capabilities. Consistently provingherself as an actress of her own style, Jin-ju takes on another role in Two Moons. As In-jeong, she portrays the complex emotions of a frightened high school girl.Jin-ju was so immersed in her role that she actually fainted on the set. Director - KIM Dong-bin
Through popular horror films Ring (1999) and Red Eye (2005), KIM Dong-bin has made a name for himself in the horror film industry with his unique sense of direction towards horror. In 1999, KIM Dong-bin brought on such a sensation in Korean horror film market with Ring. In an interview at the time, he shared his ambition in making horror films, saying “I am deeply rooted to one principle for the past 5 years. That is to be able to create a horror film that can be understoodglobally, based on a Korean story, not sourced from a different country.” He continues to demonstrate his skills for horror film direction in Red Eye which takes place on a train, introducing a new standard for “horror in confined space”.After 8 years of hiatus, Two Moons marks his return to the big screen. On a night where time has stopped, in a house where the dead are rising, the movie tells the mysterious story of three people who wake up in the house without any recollections of how they got there. Director KIM Dong-bin tried to minimize the limitation of a confined space “the house” imposes, by taking the audience through different rooms on different floors of the house. This change of scene settings helps the audience get immersed in the story. He also made sure to completely remove any obvious scary movie tactics such as sudden scares or nerve-pinching sound to shock the audience. Instead, he introduced a unique way of telling the story that intensifies the suspense as the story unfolds, so the horror gradually builds up in the movie. His method encourages the audience to feel the same horror felt by the main characters. Director KIM’s mystery unfolds a new kind of confined horror in Two Moons, which will deliver one helluva horrorexperience in the theatres.
