Synopsis
The film reunites Kuryu (Takuya Kimura) with his love interest and ex-paralegal Maiko Amamiya (Takako Matsu), as they get embroiled in a web of diplomatic bureaucracy during their investigation of two seemingly innocuous cases. Since her missing presence in the second television drama series, much fan anticipation follows Amamiya’s reappearance in the film as a prosecutor for the Osaka Namba District.
This film is also the first out of the related television drama and film series that both of Kuryu’s paralegal assistants Chika Asagi (Keiko Kitagawa) and Maiko Amamiya are together involved in an investigation. The key witness of Amamiya’s threaten case happens to be the female victim of the Neustia embassy car accident that Kuryu and Asagi are working on. Caught in endless red tape and concerns for diplomatic relations, will the three of them be able to overcome all odds and again put justice in its rightful place?
