Horizon Bistronomy Alexandra

I'm excited to be invited to Horizon Bistronomy Alexandra's Media Tasting, as we were there previously for a dinner. It was a really nice dinner and we are looking forward to it indeed!

Heritage - Curry Chicken Rilletes

Elizabeth - Crispy and well balanced of different flavors. Love the flavorful combination.

Consistency -Horizon's Angel Hair 

Elizabeth - Visual appealing dish, its too pretty to stir! Personally preferred the current version as compared to the newer version as it was a lil oilier due to the crispy bits on it. Ikura was a lil saltier but overall still yummy!

Simplicity - Egg 63

Elizabeth - THIS IS THE BEST DISH I had today! LOVE IT~ Love the combination of the truffle, egg, potatoes puree, fried shrooms, everything~ TWO THUMBS UP! MUST TRY!

Clarificaiton - Tomato Consomme

Elizabeth - The stock is really clear and sweet sour so much tomatoes goodness! Can taste the freshness of the cured salmon and prawn meat. A light but flavorful dish.

Freshness - Blanc (Ugly sauce poured by Eliz :p)

Elizabeth - Well poached asparagus, rich cauliflower puree, hints of smokey torched cauliflower adds another flavor to this dish. Not a fan of onion but it surprised me cos its sweet! 

Technical - Pork Belly 2 Ways

Elizabeth - Love the presentation of this dish, it tells a story~ Really nice carrot puree and lots of different flavors and textures to everything on this plate. Can feel the efforts of the chefs.

Deconstruction - Deconstructed Yuzu Cheese Cake

Elizabeth - Everything here has its own burst of flavor, wish there were more crumbs to accompany the Yuzu, and crunchier popcorn. Love the truffle flavor which surprises me. The matcha was frozen with fillings that is rich and creamy. 

Reconstruction - Peanut Butter 2016

Elizabeth - Love the powder peanut thingy, its really nice! The marinated apple slices are good, not too thick or sour. A light dessert for those who prefers something light.

Deception - Orange Soba

Elizabeth - Visual appealing dish, can taste the orange soba and lemongrass pearls. Had my mind a lil confused that I'm actually having a dessert thou its visually a savory looking dish. Not too strong flavored. 

Memories- Milo Truffle & Kaya Macaroon 

Elizabeth - The kaya macaroon is really nice~ Something diff from other macaroons cos its torched, which gives it an additional crisp bite to it. Well balanced peach pate that is booth sweet and sour. Love the chocolate truffle! Seldom had chocolate truffle that actually have truffle in it! Its rich, creamy with lil crisp inside.

The End (Surprise dish not on menu)

Review - First impression, something from England country side garden that looks like rabbit food, super cute! Love the aroma of the torched herb and lemon peels infused into the lemon meringue! Lasting impressing dish for today~
