Ootoya Singapore

The taste of OOTOYA is traditional Japanese home-cooked food.It is the taste of a Japanese mom’s cooking for her family, where much effort is put into preparing healthy and tasty meals.
OOTOYA follows the same philosophy. Dishes are carefully prepared after customers place their orders. Our insistence on consistent taste means we marinate and grill our meat to perfection, even if this takes a little more preparation time.
One small difference between OOTOYA and home-cooking is that our tofu is made in the shop using fresh ingredients. OOTOYA’s goal has always been to provide healthy, high quality and tasty meals. Can you hear the sounds of cooking at the back of the shop? It is the same sounds made in a home kitchen.
A set meal (Teishoku) comes with one main dish, rice, miso soup and pickles. Ootoya’s main mission is to promote healthy eating through a well-balanced diet. Thus our set meals are designed to provide daily nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and other minerals which our bodies need. Delicious and healthy, our set menu can be enjoyed every day.
Today, we are here to try some of the yummy dishes that interest me~ My ootd is more towards the Japan culture. I love my embroidery skirt and embroidery boots.
With Asa today!
The chef who went to master the skill in Japan of soba making~ Behind him is the soba room!
The Japanese chef ensures that soba is prepare only when ready to serve.
A happy chef who brings joy to our meals
The fast server who is attentive to customers
Today I'll be tasting the following~
Review - The salad is really refreshing and sauce on the side is good on the greens. The basil sauce is good but the chicken can be better if there are more basil sauce.
Review - The potato is good, pork is grilled just right, no tough pieces~ Overall feels like the fat and lean parts melts together. Rice refill is free! Texture is consistency for the whole serving. Highly recommended
Review - The wheat is good! I can really taste the fragrance of it. But I think because I didnt eat it imed when its served, cos I was busy eating the others and taking pic etc. Soba was a little hard. The dipping sauce is good thou! Without realizing, I finished the whole thing in 5 mins XD Highly recommended!
Sobayu has fiber, vitamin B1 B2, protein, and rutin, which is used to make medicine. The said effect of sobayu is help digestion, lower blood pressure, so in ancient Japan it was used for digestive medicine. I think it tastes good to together with the left over sauce for the soba.
Review - There is always room for dessert~
This pumpkin parfait is love, especially the pumpkin creme~~~Everything is awesome, maybe except the cornflakes at the bottom which aint crispy >__<
