Menya Sakura 3rd Year Anniversary

Started since 1 Apr 2010, it was a humble 9 seater in Gokiso, Showa-Ku, Nagoya. It grew into a chain in Japan, and expanded to Indonesia and Singapore. They specialized in Nagoya style ramen, which features hearty rich soups and using the Japanese version of Chinese egg noodles.
Menya Sakura was previously situated at 64 Boat Quay where it first opened in Singapore back in 2017, now it is situated at Orchid Hotel. The director, Chef Sho Naganuma, was born in Nagoya, with many years of working experiences working in renowned specialized Japanese and French cuisine, including Michelin stars ones. He was also featured on Asian Food Channel for 'One night in Langkawi' (Click here to watch). He was also the former executive chef at Hide Yamamoto at MBS!

You can feel the sincerity of the business by just seeing the amount of choices for their FREE salad bar that they offer~ Daily, there will be 7-8 choices!
Today, thanks to Menya Sakura for the kind hospitality and generous spread of food tasting, I shall do my best to share my thoughts and experience!
This year, they are celebrating their 3rd anniversary in Singapore, so introducing their Uni Tsukemen!
Go for their topping special, its worth it! Very visually appealing too~
I'll recommend to drizzle the lime all over and enjoy the uni on its own first~ The broth is good when enjoyed with the noodles. Its thick and chewy, like mini version of udon~ I like that the egg is not hard boiled eggs but ajitama eggs!
Another limited edition is their Lobster Mazesoba~ Free upsize!
First glance, its like a bowl of colorful and full of variety~ It looks exactly like the pic on the menu, which is great!
It is not as spicy as you may think, really nice combination of the flavorful ingredients.
I love that the lobster batter is thin, giving every bite full of fillings~
Want something light? This is another must try to enjoy the Nagoya style!
Go for the all topping, definitely worth it!
Dipping ramen, the sauce is really nice~ I love the yuzu bits on top that adds a delightful freshness into this~
I dont like chinese egg noodles, but THIS Japanese version is really nice!
Premium Tonkotsu Ramen
I always recommend all topping special, just go all the way, its worth it~
That broth is really hearty rich, full of flavor yet not overwhelming~ Every sip is so rewarding, dont forget to add the ajitama egg!
Not so hungry? Or need more?
Aburi Char Siew
More meat? Love the sauce, its not too salty~
Lobster croquette
