TOEI Kyoto Studio Park, Toei Eigamura

TOEI Kyoto Studio Park brings dreams and memories to our customer’s hearts, making it possible to watch the shooting of period dramas (jidaigeki films) for the first time in Japan. The theme park was established in the year 1975, allowing people to experience the world of period dramas through its open sets, events, and attractions. We have received the support of over 60 million customers so far.

At TOEI Kyoto Studio Park, people can enter the TOEI Kyoto Film Studio, which is located right next to the park, which has a cinema street that lets you enjoy the atmosphere of a live film studio. In addition, within the Studio Park, there is a reproduction of streets from the Edo period, with the shooting of real television shows and movies which you can watch live. At TOEI Kyoto Studio Park, you get to experience wearing the same outfits used in period dramas and enjoy taking pictures with the authentic film sets as a background.

The premises is actually closed to the public when I was there. I am grateful for the private access, specially made for me to have a look around the park. I actually really want to take selfies BUT somehow I felt I wasn't wearing something to match the environment with my casual clothes(cos heading to airport after this), decided not to. This place is also HUGE, luckily the staff showed me around, or I'll be so lost inside.

This place is simply too beautiful, I didn't want to be out of place via taking selfies. Also, there is an area that is currently filming! But with respect to the privacy, also not to be spoiler to the film set, I decided not to take any pictures.

I was also surprised that some of the statues are actually made of foam! They look so real, and heavy! I am so impressed. I really wish I am wearing some edo outfit, cries~ I could take all the selfies without any photo bombs with the place all to myself, and take to my heart content! I will love to go back again in future to take more pictures when I'm in suitable outfit <3
