Banana Nut Crunch

Not sure where to start about this as I'm aint any fancy writer @_@...but here it goes~ I am a loyal fan of Banana Nut Crunch from Post. The only cereal I like since young and have been eating only that choice for more than 20 years? I was happy when my neighbourhood opened Value Mart, and wow~ They are few cents cheaper than Fairprice! So I happily bought my box and headed home. Back home, I took a big mouth of the cereal with the standard fresh milk from fridge, using my com while munching away~ Wait... it taste erm different? Well I was kinda hungry and finished that small rice bowl size of cereal before I went to check the box for expiry date which reads 'OCT1415P35', so I think it means 14 Oct 15? Okay, maybe its gonna expire soon, so that's why its kinda not so nice?

Then I saw the bottom of the box, some area was marked with a black marker. My heart kinda sank... It just felt fishy why they will want to mark off anything.

I looked for the importer, saw the sticker says 'Promotion of this item is not valid in Singapore'.

I went online to do a search and came across an article -

By now, I'm kinda stressed and I need to check out whats wrong. I'm kinda scared cos I ate a bowl of it. My stomach is pretty sensitive >_< Changed out and immediately went out to the nearest Fairprice to grab a box home and compare. Box itself have some differences.

Inside looks like this... Bear in mind, I ate a rice bowl size off  but somehow when I opened both in its new state, Fairprice one look like it have way more content!

I'm not trying to prove its something wrong with the product itself, but the taste is different, and the packaging slight different and reading that article kinda worries me. I'll still continue to eat this brand, but I wont be buying anything edible from Value Mart again >_< If you ever wanna try this brand of cereal, its AWESOME! The Fairprice one taste better. Shall try those at other supermarkets one as well! Perhaps they will be different too?
