Santouka New Menu + Anniversary

Especially made for families.
That is the beginning of Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. The moment you put it in your mouth a gentle flavor will spread throughout and a little later it will change into a rich and delicious taste. It was in the 1980s that Santouka took its first steps toward dominating the world and began to draw attention with its shio ramen served with a small, pickled plum in a unique round bowl. Santouka started its history when founder Hitoshi Hatanaka said to his family. "I'm going to make delicious ramen."

Under the original production method, the white tonkotsu (pork bone) soup was produced from repeated trial, error, and improvements. It has a mild, gentle flavor and was dedicated it to be delicious to the last drop. The company was founded in March 1988, a mere four months after that soup received rave reviews from Hatanaka's family for its amazing quality. It started with a single restaurant in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The restaurant had nine seats and a single item on the menu: shio (salt) ramen. This was the beginning of Hokkaido Ramen Santouka.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a Japanese ramen restaurant renowned for its Hokkaido-style ramen and pork cheek. As of now, they have 53 outlets in 9 countries! There is no need to worry about quality of standard. The recipe is being made consistent throughout all the outlets in all over the world so as to ensure that clients can get the same quality regardless where they are!

Here I am at Santouka~ I went with Asa, but he is too shy for pictures today XD
Waiting for the food to arrive~
First dish served Kaisen Hiyashi Maze-Soba with all the sides.
One get to choose 1 meat & 2 side dish~
We mixed everything in~
Review - Seafood was fresh, portion is quite big. The sauce had goma aka sesame, so its quite unique. Personally, I wish the chunky salmon was slightly thinner, I wasnt used to eating raw salmon without wasabi. The pork and prawn were awesome!
Next is the Spicy Shio Ramen
Review - Dont worry, its not much spicy! The pork and soup is fantastic too! Its a ramen most suitable for onion lovers! Lots of fibre for this one~
Final dish, the Strawberry Parfait
Review - Finally a parfait in the menu! The whipped cream melts pretty fast, so eat this fast! Ice cream taste yummy and firm, doesn't melt too fast, corn flakes were crispy and sweet too! Strawberries are authentic japan ones, thus sweet!
Thankfully Asa came with me, I couldnt possibly finish them at all! Portions are quite big for me~ Thank you Santouka for inviting me, I've really enjoyed the new menu and hope more people will try them out for themselves!
