LUSH

Upon hearing the name Gorilla perfume, I went down to Wisma outlet to check it out~ As I'm heading a store that is so natural, I've decide to be a little different from my usual dressing today, something nature too! Hee~

Okie, I think I'm running a little late from styling my hair w curls, cabbed to meet up w Kazue! I hope I don't 'scare' the cabby driver thou >_<

Passed by somewhere GREEN! Haha, couldn't resist the temptation to take a couple of shots!

I hope i blend in :P Feeling so relaxed and fun with wind in my hair too!

Can you see my green lens as well? Hee hee~ My dress is really pretty and really flowy, I regret not taking a OOTD pic of me spinning in it >_< I took a vid of sleca thou~ I was standing in the mids of a tree branches, with wind threatening to have leaves smacking into my face any moment while taking the video LOL!

Finally arrive at LUSH @ Wisma!

Got to learn from Maro that Gorilla Perfume actually comes in Vol 1 & 2, created by father and son team Mark and Simon Constantine. While creating the Gorilla perfume, they were inspired by ancient lore of the British countryside, tales of seduction, protective plants and beat poets, these perfumes are nothing like you've come across before, they definitely defy your scent expectations too. Which kinda explains why I got a shock when I had my first sniffs at them. They don't smell like typical perfume that u can find at counters. Don't just put it back immediately, trust me, apply some on diff parts of your arm/wrist/hand, browse around a bit, maybe check out other stuffs in the store? Perfume takes some time to settle down~ About 15 mins later, have a sniff at them again...HEY! Its different! Shocking huh!?

Recommandation -
First will be the Imogen Rose, of course right, given the rose craze me lol! Their roses are from Senir, Turkey by a family business that have been making rose products for 4 generations! Real rose oil that is soft, exquisite, powdery amber accord and the dry, woody vetivert note that makes it a beautiful, romantic, youthful and innocent scent. It reminds me of true roses in bloom, with a touch of baby powder~ Makes me feel English too~

Origin note -
Launched in 2010, this one is a token of love from a new father to his daughter. LUSH Perfumer Simon invented this scent for his then one-year-old daughter, Imogen Rose. A fragrance both fresh and floral, a true representation of the Damasc Rose.

Do you know -
For every kilo of rose absolute, Lush actually pay an extra 50 euros for a school on site for the children of the rose pickers! It is their way of giving back to the community in a long term sustainable way. Every gram of rose oil they use contains the essence of 1,000 Damascus roses!!

I personally like their convenient and lightweight package for their solid sticks~ It look so pretty too! No worries for breaking the bottle or having too much a spray that will leave perfume dripping >_< But of course, if you love the traditional way of having a perfume spray, there is a handy spray too! Given our bags nowadays contain many gadgets, I will suggest the 30g to be kept at home~

My next recommendation will be Flower's Barrow. With key ingredients like Geranium, blackcurrant, ROSE (my fav), sage and thyme, this perfume caught my attntion. Flower's Barrow features a moody seascape edged in green. Sweet, odd and comforting, the blackcurrant and rose make this perfume warm, inviting and oddly delicious. It reminds me of something like greenery countryside?

Original note -
A nostalgic perfume inspired by the stories of an Iron Age hillfort, taken over by Romans who are now said to haunt the place known as Flower's Barrow. The ancient ruins sunk into the sea, and nettles and brambles have taken over the land. Sage and thyme pull you back through the ages to times gone by.

There are so many sizes to choose from, how convenient! I personally would recommend buying the large one for value purpose, the smallest one for handy outdoor~

How to apply perfume -
Applying perfume is the simplest of matters - simply spray, dab, or in the case of a solid perfume compact, swipe. (Do avoid rubbing the wrists together after application, to prevent "crushing" the scent). Always apply perfume before putting on your clothes and jewelry. Some fragrances will leave permanent stains on fabrics, metals, and pearls, we wouldn't want that to happen, don't we!

How to make your perfume last longer
1) A tip will be to apply some fragrance free moisturizer before apply the perfume, as scent tend to fade when the skin is dry.
2) Another choice will be to apply some petroleum jelly before applying perfume, as the perfume droplets will cling onto the jelly instead of sinking into your pores.
3) Last but not least will be layering, you can use items of the same line to help the scent to its fullest throughout the day~

I personally prepared a special edition goodie for my readers! DADA! Guess that my friends with the name of Noriko will be surprised eh?! There is a hand and body soap with your name!

A quick info on it -
This delicate floral soap creates a soft, creamy lather that nourishes hardworking hands. With seaweed and glycerin to soften and hydrate, and rose, ylang ylang, lavender and orange oil to create a fresh, rainy garden perfume. Noriko is named after their enthusiastic Japanese friend who loves creating new LUSH products. It has become a best-selling soap in Japan, with Japanese-inspired ingredients like sake, rice decoction and tofu to nourish the skin. They brought it back as a limited edition treat for you and its already sold out!

Want a piece of it?!
I'm giving away a slice of it to the winner who comment n share with us which is their favorite scent for Gorilla Perfume and why!

Don't forget to head down to LUSH to check out the Gorilla Perfume! Maro's always at the Wisma outlet, so if you need any advice etc, he's the man! I call him the walking LUSH catalog LOL!
